PRODUCTIVITY · iPhone, iPad & Mac
attention is a kindness.
a flow timer that notices your tiredness, not just your effort — built for knowledge workers who want depth, not buzzers.

the idea
rest is earned, not scheduled.
the rigid 25-minute timer interrupts you whether you are deep in or barely started. tobydoro is built on flowmodoro instead: work until concentration naturally fades, then take a break proportional to how long you actually focused — by default 1 minute of rest for every 5 of focus, from 5 to 30 minutes.
care over hustle.
most timers count your output. tobydoro watches for your tiredness too — an optional breathing exercise before you begin, a gentle reflection after, and analytics that learn when your attention is genuinely at its best. your sessions, tasks and notes stay on your device, or in your own icloud if you turn sync on. no account, no tracking, no dark patterns.
the flow timer
work until it fades, not until a bell.
no fixed intervals. start when you are ready and let concentration run as long as it lasts. when you stop, the break scales to match the work you just did — short focus, short rest; deep session, deeper rest. it is the rhythm your brain already wants, made visible.

reflection & insight
notice your patterns, gently.
after a session of ten minutes or more, a quick mood check and an optional note; a private journal keeps the context. over time tobydoro draws a flow score and, with pro, a six-axis focus fingerprint and your real chronotype — the hours when your attention is actually sharpest. data you can act on, never a leaderboard to beat.

a letter from the maker
tobydoro is built by one person who cares deeply about attention — both about giving it, and about protecting it. most of the app is free, forever: the timer, breathing, the breaks, the journal's last seven days, the analytics that matter most for daily use. no ads, no tracking, no dark patterns. if it stops being useful, you can leave — and your data stays yours.
