read your script. keep your eyes on the lens.

a teleprompter for iPhone that puts your script in a narrow band beside the front camera, follows your voice on the device, and lets you redo one paragraph instead of the whole take.

the idea

the closer the line, the less your eyes give you away.

most prompters put a big box of text in the middle of the screen, and on video you can see the reader's eyes drift down to it. Teleprompter keeps one or two lines in a narrow band pinned beside the front lens, so you read where the camera is.

nothing is done to your face.

"eye contact" here is about where the words sit, not a filter. no effect moves your eyes and nothing is baked into the video. the band simply sits where the lens is — the rest is you, reading naturally.

voice that runs on the phone

the script keeps up when you do.

speech recognition happens on the iPhone, in the languages it can transcribe on the device. the text keeps pace when you improvise and waits when you pause, and no audio is uploaded to make it work. if your iPhone can't transcribe your language, read with words per minute, a fixed speed, a target duration or your thumb instead.

record paragraph by paragraph

a fluff costs one paragraph, not the video.

Teleprompter knows which paragraph you are on. tap repeat from here and keep going; when you finish, the takes of the session are joined in order. no timeline, no clips to line up. export to Photos as 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9, mirrored if you want it.

everything inside

built for the person on camera.

a band you place

drag and resize it to fit your phone, your distance and your rig. position and size are remembered for portrait and landscape.

five ways to scroll

your voice, words per minute, a fixed speed, a target duration, or your thumb.

cues in the script

write [pause], [breathe], [skip: a note] or [b-roll] and the band shows them as cues, not words to read out loud. [emphasis: this part] is underlined, and you read it out loud.

mirror mode

flips the text for glass rigs and never touches the video.

readable for everyone

Lexend and OpenDyslexic, Dynamic Type, measured AA contrast and VoiceOver.

scripts from anywhere

paste text, or share a .txt or .md file to Teleprompter from any app. Markdown becomes clean reading text.

a letter from the maker

there is no account to create, no ads and no tracking prompt. your takes stay on your iPhone until you export them, and your scripts sync through your own iCloud. reading, voice follow, recording and export are free, and free videos carry no watermark.

the script doesn't follow my voice.

voice follow uses the iPhone's own on-device speech recognition, so it works in the languages your iPhone can transcribe. where it can't, Teleprompter says voice is not available on that iPhone, and the other four ways to scroll still work.

my scripts aren't on my other iPhone.

scripts, folders and settings sync through the private iCloud of the Apple Account each iPhone is signed in to, so both need iCloud available and the same account. takes never sync: they stay on the iPhone that recorded them.

where are my videos?

inside Teleprompter, under each script's takes, until you save them to Photos or share them. deleting a take removes it from Teleprompter; copies you saved to Photos stay there.

I bought Pro and don't see it.
